When learning any language, a fair degree of time and commitment is required. Haitian Creole is not a complex language to learn, especially if you are familiar with French. Much of the Haitian language derives from the French language. However, it is still easy to learn Haitian Creole even if you don’t know French. Our teaching methods will ensure that you pick up the language quickly and effectively.

The teaching process consists of Zoom courses, one-on-one sessions, online quizzes, and more. We try to be as versatile as possible so we can reach many people at once. Our courses are comprehensive and easy to master, starting from the very basics and going to advanced tips and tricks. With our help, you’ll be able to speak and write Creole fluently, even though you started with zero knowledge.
The Creole language is relatively easy to learn, indeed. This Haitian language is strongly related to French since it’s a vernacular language derived from French. Even if your first language is English, mastering Creole isn’t difficult at all. With our teaching methods and constant support, it’ll take a couple of weeks to go through the basics.

The Haitian Creole tutoring sessions take place on Zoom video conference calls. You’ll need to download Zoom onto your computer or mobile device. After you register for a Creole Tutors account, you’ll have the ability to make an appointment for a tutoring session. Once the appointment is made, log into your Zoom account on the specified date and time. The tutor will contact you via Zoom to begin your tutoring session.

Group learning lets you receive Haitian Creole lessons with a group of other students. Some people learn languages better in group settings because they can practice speaking the language to other students. Creole Tutors can host small group tutoring sessions for multiple students with the same proficiency level in Haitian Creole.  The groups are divided by the age range of the students. We have groups for ages 4-7, 8-12, 13-18, and 18 & up.

One-on-one learning gives you an exclusive tutoring session between you and the tutor. It will provide you with more opportunities to practice speaking Haitian Creole and to be corrected when you make a mistake. You’ll also have more opportunities to ask questions and learn the lessons that you want to know.

Creole Tutors can give you specialized lessons in Haitian Creole. For instance, if you want to learn causal phrases or business terminology in Haitian Creole, we can create one-on-one lesson plans focused explicitly on these areas. Many people who hire tutors are not trying to learn the entire language but rather try to learn how to say specific phrases. We can accommodate your language goals no matter what they may be.

Don’t worry if you don’t remember everything from the tutoring sessions. Video resources will be provided so that you can study the learning material repeatedly. If you have any questions about the material, you can ask the tutor in your future tutoring sessions together. We’re always here to answer your questions and help you along the way.

Creole Tutors lets you learn at your own pace. If you need to spend more time on specific lessons, we will not rush you. Everyone learns new languages at different speeds. Our tutors are here to be your guide for learning Haitian Creole and understanding the Haitian culture as a whole.

French and Haitian Kreyòl do have many things in common, but they’re also quite different in many aspects. Mainly, their grammar and conjugation of verbs stand apart as two separate spheres of linguistics. The pluralization of nouns is yet another stark difference between the two. While French uses clear verb conjugation and tense markers in the verb conjugation, Creole doesn’t. Many times, there are also no tense markers anywhere in the sentence.

There are a lot of Haitian Creole phrases to memorize. If rote learning is not your thing, you’ll be glad to learn that there are other ways to pick up phrases as you learn. Instead of using repetition to memorize new words and sentences by heart, you can learn them through immersion and contextualization.

Whether you’re a complete beginner, or you’re an intermediate learner who wants to brush up on their grammar and language skills, our tutors are here to offer you quality lessons based on communicative methods. Everything you learn will be wrapped into a meaningful context so that you can enjoy language learning as an exciting experience.

Your tutor will teach you the subtle nuances between question words like “ki moun” and “kiyès”, or “kòman” and “ki jan”, and much more! Get ready to take your Haitian Creole knowledge to the next level with negative questions, modal-verb questions, and hypothetical questions.

Despite these slight confusions in terms of verbs and conjugation, Haitian Creole is one of the easiest languages you can learn. It’s a bit similar to French, Portuguese, Spanish, and it also has some influences from English. If you know French, you’ll have absolutely no problems becoming an independent Haitian Creole speaker. Even learning its three different dialects won’t be a problem since Haitian Creole is a vernacular French-based language. It has many things in common with the Napoleonian language.
